SundarKanda continued…

Prabhisy nagar keeje sab kaaja/ hridayam raakhi Kosalpur Raja//

Garal sudha ripu karahim mithai/gopad sindhu anahl sithalayi//

‘Enter the city and fulfil your task, keeping SreeRam( The Raja of Kospalpur) in your heart

In front of HIM, poison becomes amrit( nectar), foe turns friend, the ocean akin to a cow’s hoof mark, the fire turns cool.’

*

Garud sumeru renu sam thahy/Ram kripa kari chitava jaahy//

Ati laghu roop dharevu Hanumana/Paida nagar sumiri Bhagwana//

‘Hey Garudji! Sumeru mountain is a mere grain  of sand (  renu: speck of dust)before the one who is graced by a single glance from SreeRamchandraji!’

Hanumanji  assumed a very tiny form and entered the city.

*

Mandir mandir prati kari sodha/ dekhe jah tah aganith jodha//

Gayavu Dasanan mandir maahim/ athi bichitra kahi jaat so naahim//

He searched every single house, and saw innumerable warriors

Then he went to Ravan’s palace, it was so stunning and unique- to describe it being an impossible task

*

Sayan kiye dekha kapi thehy/Mandir mahu Na dekhy Baidehy//

Bhawan ek suni deekh suhava/Hari mandir tah bhinn banava//

Hanumanji saw Ravan sleeping, but there was no trace of Janakiji( Vaidehi) anywhere

Then he saw another house, there was  a Hari mandir( temple for  the Lord) constructed inside it.

*

Doha:

Ramayudh ankit grih sobha barani na jaayi/

Nav tulsyka brindh tah dekhi harsh kapirai//

The House of the Lord was decorated with symbols of Sree Ramchandraji’s bow and arrows( dhanush-baan), and was so glorious( ineffable )

Seeing fresh clusters of Tulsy( holy basil dear to the Lord) therein, Hanumanji was delighted

*

Lanka nisichar nikar nivaasa/iham kaham sajjan kar baasa/

Man mahu tarak karaim kapi laaga / tehim samay bibheeshanu jaaga//

Lanka was the residence of Rakshasas, how come a believer of the Lord( sajjan, devout person) lived here

As Hanumanji argued in his own mind, Vibheeshan woke up

*

Ram Ram tehim sumiran keenha/hriday harsh kapi sajjan cheenha//

Ehi san hady karihau pahichani/sadhu te hoyi na kaaraj haani//

He( Vibheeshan) recited ( sumiran, simran, smaran) the name of SreeRam, Hanumanji recognised him as a devout soul and was joyous

( Hanumanji thought) I shall introduce myself, because a good soul will never be an obstacle( instead would be of help).
