Kahahu kavan maim param kuleena/kapi chanchal sabahim bidhi heena//
Prath leyi jo naam hamara/ tehi din taahi na milai ahaara
( Hanumanji tells Vibheeshanji) To state a fact, what sort of high status do I have myself? I am an impulsive vanar, and in all aspects I am an inferior person
In the morning if people speak of us( me and brethren), then they end up deprived of their food
Doha: As maim adham sakha sunu mohu par Raghubeer/
Keenhi kripa sumiri gun bhare bilochan neer//
Hey Sakha( Friend, compatriot!)Listen, I am such a lowly person, but Sreeramchandraji has showered even me with his compassion
Remembering the Lord’s qualities( gunaas), Hanumanji’s eyes filled with tears of immense love.
Janathahu as swami bisary/bhirhim te kahi na hohim dukhary//
Ehi bidhi kahahu Ram gun graama/ pava anirbachya bishrama//
Those who, inspite of knowing the greatness of such a Lord( SreeRaghunathji), forgets Him and stumbles around in search of worldy pleasures, why wouldn’t they be miserable?
In this manner describing SreeRamji’s qualities, Hanumanji attained ineffable( anirvachaniya- beyond description) peace.
Puni sab kadha Bibheeshan kahi/jehi bidhi Janaksuta thah rahi//
Tab Hanumanth kaha sunu bhratha/dekhi chahahu Janaki Mata//
Vibheeshanji Then spoke of Sree Janakiji ( daughter of Janakji), the story of her condition while staying in Lanka
Then Hanumanji said, Hey brother! I want to see Janaky Mata ( Mother)
Juguthy Bibheeshan sakal sunayi/ Chalehu pavansuta bida karai//
Kari soyi roop gayavu puni tahavam/Ban Asok Sita rah jahavam//
Vibheeshanji told him all ways of meeting Sita Mata, then Hanumanji took his leave
Assuming his tiny form he went to that part of the Asoka forests, where Sitaji was residing.
Dekhi manahi mahu keenh pranaama/baidehim beethi jaath nisy jaama//
Kris tanu sees jatan ek beny/ japati hridayam Raghupathy gun shreny//
Seeing Sitaji, Hanumanji bowed in reverence in his mind, the four yaamas( a figure of measure of time) of the night passed by as she continued sitting there
Her body was weak and frail, on her head was an untidy knot of her tangled hair, her heart was whispering( reciting)the praise of Sree Raghunathji
Doha: Nij pad nayan diyem mann Ram pad kamal leen/
Param dukhi bha pavansuta dekhi Janki deen//
Sree Janakiji’s eyes were looking at her feet( eyes downcast), her mind meditating on the lotus feet of SreeRamji
Seeing the extremely sad ( deen) state of Janakiji, Hanumanji became very unhappy.
Taru pallav mahu raha lukai/karai bichar karaum ka bhai//
Tehi avasar Ravanu tah aava/sang naari bahu kiyem banava//
Hanumanji hid himself among the leaves of the Asoka tree and started wondering, (ah brother, what should I do?)how can I help to remove her unhappiness?
At that time, accompanied by many women, a heavily decked up Ravan arrived.
