(Ravana visits Asok Vatika)

*

Syam saroj daam sam sundar/prabhu bhuj kari kar sam Daskander//

So bhuj kand ki tav asi khora/sunu sad as pravan pan mora//

(Sitaji said) My Lord’s arm which is as beautiful as the garland of  blue lotus, and strong and broad as the elephant’s trunk-

Either that shall be at my throat or your sword, Hey, Scoundrel, this is my true oath

*

Chandrahaas haru mam paritapam/ Raghupathy birah anahl samjatam//

Seetal nisit bahasy bar dhara/kah Sita haru mam dukh bhara//

Hey Chandrahas( Ravan’s sword), come and end my agony, the unbearable fire of this separation(virah Ki Agni)from My Lord

Hey Sword, your flow is cool, sharp and elevating, come and end the burden of my pain

*

Sunath bachan puni maran dhaava/maytanayam kahi neeti buchaava//

Kahesy sahal nisicharinh bolayi/Sitahy bahu bridhi traasahu jaayi//

Hearing Sitaji speak, Ravan ran to behead her, then Mandodary, his QueenConsort  (daughter of Mayan) pacified him with her logical pleading

Then Ravan called all the Rakshasis and asked them to frighten Sita in multiple ways

*

Maas divas mahu kaha na maana/Tau maim maraby kaadi kripaana//

If you do not agree with what I said in a month’s time, I shall cut you down with this sharp sword

*

Doha:

Bhavan gayavu Daskandar iham pisachiny brindh//

Sitahi traas dekhavahim dharahim roop bahu mandh//

(Saying thus) Ravan left for home, the Rakshasis assumed various hideous forms and started frightening Sitaji

*

Trijata naam Rakshasy ek a/Ram charan rati nipun bibeka//

Sabanhau boli sunayesi sapna/Sitahi seyi karahu hith apna//

Among them was a Rakshasy named Trijata, she was a devotee of SreeRamji and was a learned woman

She called everyone and narrated about a dream she had- and asked them to serve Sitaji and protect their own selves

Jai Sita Ki, Jai Hanuman Ki, Jai SreeRamJi Ki
