Hanumanji drops SreeRamji’s signet ring

(SundarKanda Continued)

*

Kah Sita bidhi bha pratikoola/milihi na pavak mitihi na soola//

Dekhiath pragat  gagan angara/avani na aavath ekavu tara//

Sitaji spoke ( to herself) : What can I do, Fate seems to be against me, there is no fire and my pain will not end

I can see the embers burning in the sky, but not a single star will descend down to earth

*

Pavakmay sasi sravath na aagy/manahu mohi jaani hathbhaagy//

Sunahy binay mam bitap Asoka/Satya naam karu haru mam soka//

The moon is fiery (the moonlight burns me)but it too knows that I am unfortunate and does not send forth fire

Hey Asoka tree! Prove true your name (Asoka- The one who removes Soka or sorrow) by ending my soka

*

Nutan kisalaya anahl samana/ dehi aginy jany karahi nidana//

Dekhi param birahakul Sita/ so chan kapihi kalap sam bita//

Your new tender leaves are like fire, give me fire, the pain of this separation from My Lord is yet to reach the culmination

Looking at Sitaji writhing in her agony of being away from her Lord, Hanumanji endured that moment like a Kalp Kal( an aeon)

*

Kapi kari hriday bichar deenhi mudrika daari tab/

Janu Asok angaar deenh harashy udi kar gahevu//

Then Hanumanji , his heart touched deeply, dropped SreeRamji’s mudrika, i.e., his signet ring

Thinking that Asoka had dropped fire, Sitaji received it joyously in her hands

*

Tab dekhi mudrika manohar/ Ram naam ankith athi sundar//

Chakith chitav mudary pahichani/harsh bishad hriday akulani//

Sitaji saw the beautiful signet ring on which was engraved SreeRamji’s  wonderful name

Startled, she recognised it as her Lord’s and stared at it with both ecstasy and sorrow rising in waves in her heart

*

Jeeti ko sakai ajay Raghurai/Maya tem asi rachi nahim jaayi//

Sita man bichar kar nana/madhur bachan boleyu Hanumana//

(She started thinking) SreeRamji is Ajay( The one who cannot be vanquished), who can defeat him? No one can create through Maya, such a pure, divine ring

Sitaji was thinking many thoughts like these, then Hanumanji started speaking extremely wonderful words about the Lord

*

Jai Sita Maiya Ki!

Jai Hanumanji Ki!
