Hanumanji meets Sita Maiya (Sundarkanda continued)

Nisichar maari tohi lai jaihahim/tihu pur Naradadi jasu gaihahim//

Haim suth kapi sab tumhahi samana/jatudhan athi bhat balvana//

(Hanumanji says) He will kill the Rakshasas and take you from here, Naradji and other sages will sing His praise in all three worlds

(Sitaji said) Hey Son! The monkeys must be similar to you( small in size), the Rakshasas are mighty warriors

Morem hriday param sandeha/suni kapi pragat keenhi nij deha//

Kanak bhoodharakar sareera/samar bhayankar athibal beera//

Hence, my mind is troubled heavily ( how can small monkeys of your size win against the huge Rakshasas?), listening to this, Hanumanji assumed his true form

His body was as huge as a golden mountain(Sumeru), the sight of which terrified foes in battlefield,  the great warrior was so valorous and extraordinarily strong

*

Sita man bharos tab bhayavu/ puni laghu roop pavansuta layavu//

Seeing him, Sitaji lost her fears ( started believing), Hanumanji then assumed his small form again

*

Doha:

Sunu Mata sakhamrig nahim bal buddhi bisal/

Prabhu pratap tem Garudahi khayi param laghu byal//

Hey Mother! Listen, the monkeys are not very strong or intelligent,

But due to the blessing of The Lord, even a small serpent can eat Garud himself ( The meekest can win over the strongest with The Lord’s Grace)

*

Man santosh  sunath kapi baani/ bhagati pratap tej bal saani//

Aasish deenhi Rampriya jana/hohu tath bal seel nidhana//

Hearing Hanumanji’s words replete with devotion, elegance/dignity, radiance, and strength ( Bhakti, pratap, tej, bal) Sitaji’s mind was filled with happiness

Knowing him as beloved to SreeRamji, she blessed him thus: Hey Son! May you epitomise strength and goodness
