Ravan disregards Vibheeshan’s counsel (Sundar Kanda Continued)

*

Mam pur basy tapasinh par preety/Sad mil jayi tinhahi kahu neety//

As kahi keenhesy charan prahaara/ anuj gahe pad barahim baara//

You stay in my city and you love mendicants! You fool! Go meet him and tell him all your logic

Saying that Ravan kicked Vibheeshan harshly, even after being treated like that, the younger brother kept on holding Ravan’s feet

*

Uma sant kayi ihayi badayi/mand karat jo karai bhalayi//

Tumh pitu saris bhalehim mohi mara/Ramu bhajem hith Nadh tumhara//

( Shivji says) Hey Uma! The greatness of good souls is that even on being treated badly, they continue to do good to the perpetrators

(Vibheeshan said) You are like my father, even your kicking me is for my good, but My Lord! Your welfare lies in praying to SreeRamji

*

Sachiv sangh lai nabh padh gayavu/sabhi sunayi kahat uss bhayavu//

( Saying that) Vibheeshan and his group of ministers left and as they travelled through the skies, he said to everyone-

*

Doha:

Ram satyasankalp Prabhu sabha kaalbas tori/

Mai Raghubeer saran ab javu dehu jani khori//

SreeRamji is Truth Incarnate and All Capable, and Ravan your court is nearing its end

I am going to seek refuge with SreeRamji, do not blame me

*

As kahi chala Vibheeshan jabahim/ayuheen bhaye sab tabahim//

Sadhu avagya turat Bhawani/ kar kalyan akhil kai hani//

Speaking thus, Vibheeshanji left, and the whole of Rakshasas became bereft of life( their deaths were assured)

(Shivji says) Hey Bhawani! Humiliating a good soul will immediately destroy all prosperity

*

Ravan jabahim Bibheeshan tyaaga/bhayavu bibhav binu tabahim abhaaga//

Chalevu harashy Raghunayak pahim/ karat manoradh bahu man mahim//

The instant that Ravan rejected Vibheeshan, that moment he became deprived of his glorious prosperity

Vibheeshan started imagining wondrous things and happily moved towards SreeRamji
